Teachers' Night Out  Thursday, September 16, 2010 - 4:30-7:00 p.m. - The Old Idaho Penitentiary, 2445 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise, ID 83712 Over 3,000 K-12 teachers from Treasure Valley school districts are invited to attend this annual outing hosted by several cultural groups each September. The event is designed to help teachers meet each other and discover the educational programs and resources offered to them by nonprofit, government, and cultural organizations. The free event provides teachers with a bag to collect give-away items as they wander through the displays and enjoy the free refreshments. Started in 2000, it is presented by The Cultural Network, a consortium of museums, libraries and other institutions. The Idaho Humanities Council contributes to the event and hosts a display table.
