The IHC receives anchor support annually from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support IHC's grant program, staffing, and other programs. Since 2003, NEH also has provided additional modest support to IHC for special "We the People" grants and council-conducted projects and programs that will enhance public understanding of American history. However, the Council always is exploring possibilities for funding support from foundations, corporations, and individuals for special programs. US Bank generously supports the "Let's Talk About It" reading/discussion program in Idaho libraries, a partnership program of the Idaho Commission for Libraries and the IHC. OfficeMax Boise Community Foundation, Idaho Public Television and the Idaho Statesman have supported IHC's Annual Distinguished Humanities Lecture and Dinner in Boise, and Riley Creek Lumber and Sterling Savings Bank have supported IHC's Distinguished Humanities Lecture and Dinner in Coeur d'Alene. The Idaho Governor's Lewis and Clark Trail Committee generously has supported IHC's "Road Scholar" Speakers Bureau program for the past several years. For information about supporting the many worthy programs of the IHC please contact Jennifer Armstrong at jennifer@idahohumanities.org. Many businesses, foundations, and individuals contribute precious resources which have allowed IHC programs to grow and flourish. |
