For over thirty years the Idaho Humanities Council has been a growing resource for individuals, scholars, teachers, cultural and civic organizations and libraries. The IHC assists and encourages community-based humanities programming in Idaho. IHC's grant-making role is one of its most visible and important services as a state based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The IHC also offers council-conducted programming including teacher institutes (under Teacher Programs), traveling Smithsonian Institution exhibitions, annual awards for "Outstanding Achievement in the Humanities," annual lectures in Boise and Coeur d'Alene and a diverse Speakers Bureau. The link on the left details the Speakers Bureau program and the Humanities Links lists other humanities related links. |
