SPEAKERS BUREAU View Topics and Speakers | How to Apply |
||
The Idaho Humanities Council proudly presents this latest catalog of speakers. The IHC Speakers Bureau has been provided as a service to Idaho since 1990 as part of its commitment to further public education and civic discourse in the humanities. The speakers listed are available and willing to travel throughout the state for luncheons, dinners, meetings, and special events sponsored by your organization. IHC pays the speaker's honoraria, travel and lodging directly to the speaker. You pay a $50.00 fee, make the local arrangements and handle local publicity. We ask that you guarantee an audience of at least 20 and that programs be open to the public. Your program should allow 45 minutes for a speakers presentation with time for discussion following the lecture. IHC's Speakers Bureau currently is not available to K-12 schools. Descriptions of talks are organized alphabetically by speaker's last name. The index is arranged by topic, then speaker. Complete instructions, including an easy, one-page application form, are included at the back of the catalog. Please photocopy the application form so you can use it again for additional programs. We are also happy to present the Abraham Lincoln Scholars, a group of exceptional scholars assembled in recognition of the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial Commemoration. Details (2.8mb PDF)
