Join the IHC to celebrate the voices of indigenous women in the humanities! Best-selling young adult novelist, Printz Medal and Morris Award Winner Angeline Boulley will deliver the 14th annual Eastern Idaho Distinguished Humanities Lecture with guest NEH Chair Shelly Lowe on April 14th at 7PM at the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center.

Firekeeper’s Daughter is Ms. Boulley’s debut novel, and was an instant #1 NYT Bestseller. The book has been named the Walter Dean Myers Award for Outstanding Children’s Literature, the Printz Award, the William C. Morris award for YA debut literature, and was an American Indian Youth Literature Award Honor Book and is soon to be adapted at Netflix for TV with President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground.

This year, tickets will be offered on a sliding scale with suggested levels. There will also be a limited number of tickets for a benefactor reception with appetizers and a cash bar prior to the main program.
