This show explores the history of Idaho’s state parks, from Heyburn State Park, named after a man who said that state parks were “always an embarrassment,” to Harriman State Park, which made a system of state parks possible 57 years later. Time after time, Idaho leaders fought against the creation of state parks. Despite that, we have 30 of them today.
