Bonita Gilbert

Bonita (Bonnie) Gilbert teaches history at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene and is the author of Building for War: The Epic Saga of the Civilian Contractors and Marines of Wake Island in World War II (Casemate, 2012). Bonnie has an MA in history from the University of Oregon and taught in Colorado before moving to North Idaho in 2006.  She is actively engaged in numerous research projects, including assistance to the Defense POW-MIA Accounting Agency.
